Vauvanpeitto Mesikka. Malli on Split nine patch, jota kokeilin tähän peittoon ensimmäistä kertaa, ja ihan kivahan se on ja oli mukava tehdäkin. Blokit on ommeltu 2½ tuuman neliöistä. Reunuksen tikkaus oli tylsää, mutta halusin tuotakin tyyliä kokeilla. Keskiosa oli nopea ja helppo tikata ihan käsivaralla. Kaikki tikkaukset käsin, koneella ommeltu muuten. Kooltaan peitto on 112 x 127 cm

Baby quilt Mesikka (that is the Finnish name for a berry called Arctic raspberry). The pattern is Split nine patch, which I tried the for the first time. Blocks were made of 2½ inch squares. It was nice and easy to make. I hand quilted the quilt, and while the center part was a breeze, the double quilting on the outer border was so boring to stitch. I pieced the quilt by machine. It´s 44 x 50 inches by size.
